These designs were originally created in 2004 as part of Metamorphosis & Design, a year long Arts/Science Fellowship which placed Heather Barnett in the School of Life Sciences at the University of Sussex, working with research scientists in areas of fruit fly genetics, cuttlefish camouflage, evolutionary biology and nanofibre protein design.
